The download often just keeps running or I have to go out of texting mode and go back in again to get the text. This doesn't happen in individual texts to these people. If an update is available then I suggest that you download and install it first. Since the problem only occurs when receiving a group message then you should make sure that you have an active. Check your Multimedia Messages settings. Remember, group texts are NOT SMS, they're MMS (basically e-mails). If you have your settings so that you don't auto-download anything over MMS, then group texts will not auto-download either (the toggle is usually off for roaming, but unless you turned it off, it's usually active for 'home' networks).
